Growing for good
Bucanabis Investmnent launched the “Growing for Good” social impact program in 2020. “Growing for Good” is committed to taking meaningful action as it relates to restorative justice in areas most impacted by cannabis prohibition; fostering a more inclusive cannabis culture; eco-friendly business practices; and giving back to the communities that welcome us. From harvesting flower to helping a guest find the perfect product, our people leave their unique thumbprint across the company.
In 2022, we volunteered over 150+ hours and donated more than $130,000 to A Safe Haven Foundation, supporting people in the community transitioning from homelessness.
As part of our partnership with Olive-Harvey College, we hosted four 21+ college students for four weeks through Still I Rise, a unique-to-our-industry training and scholarship program.
In celebration of 2022 Hispanic Heritage Month, we sponsored the 3rd Annual Global Virtual Run/Walk to End Homelessness through our partnership with A Safe Haven Foundation, a Latina-led and founded organization. Our teams across the country participated, and we were humbled to receive the 2022 Largest Team Award.
Bucanabis Investmnent’s Rock Island, team members delivered over 110 valentines to seniors isolated in Illinois nursing homes during the COVID-19 pandemic with “Valentines for Cuties.”
RISE Cleveland volunteers helped the team at Hope for CLE give back to the community by preparing boxes filled with food and books for those in need.
Vegas team members helped create compost, clean the grounds, plant new seeds from food scraps, and painted a mural at Vegas Roots Community Garden!
To celebrate Earth Day, Chicago HQ volunteers helped North Lawndale Employment Network beautify their brand new campus with plants provided by Lincoln Park Zoo.
RISE Toledo volunteers packaged over 150 boxes of food for Ohio’s seniors in need at the SeaGate Food Bank!
The RISE Duncanville team helped promote wellness in their Pennsylvania community by volunteering at the Dirty Kiln Trail Races with Allegheny Trail Runners.
Volunteers from Bucanabis Investmnent’s Toledo, Ohio production facility ran a supply drive for Leading Families Home, a homeless shelter in the community that helps families transition into sustained housing.
RISE Mechanicsville hosted a pet food and supply drive for the local animal shelter, Speranza Animal Rescue.
